Vintage Italian 18k solid gold Intaglio Earrings with Ruby Cabochon & Pearl Dropsbe

A truly exceptional pair of vintage pierced earrings, hallmarked MAY Italy 18k showcasing the finest Italian goldsmithing tradition. Each earring features a large oval green glass intaglio carved with a classical figural scene — reminiscent of ancient Roman or Neoclassical mythology — set in a rich 18k  solid gold. Measuring little over 2” long and total weight 27.82 grams. 

At the top, a vibrant ruby cabochon is flanked by two lustrous seed pearls, while a single baroque pearl drop hangs elegantly from the base, suspended by a coiled gold wire detail. The reverse reveals the maker's mark and clip-back findings in excellent vintage condition.
